The Dairy House

The Dairy House is a seven-bed, direct-access hostel supporting people who are rough sleeping or at risk of homelessness. Through a holistic, person-centred approach, it helps residents rebuild stability, confidence and independence, supporting them towards sustainable housing and a brighter future.

How they help:

- Providing a safe home and support for those experiencing homelessness.- Offering practical and emotional support to build stability and independence.- Building confidence and life skills through therapy, activities and community.- Creating opportunities through gardening, learning and connection with nature via Root Connections.

Radstock Morris

From the belly of the Somerset Coal Fields, Radstock Morris come dressed in their distinctive Oxblood Sackcloth sashes to dance in the harvest. Formed in 2025, they dance a vigorous Cotswold style, showcasing Morris traditions not often seen in other parts of Somerset.They'll kick-start the festivities at 10am, then perform again at 11:15am, so come along and watch them in action!They are actively recruiting, hoping to grow the side to become a staple in the community. So if you fancy spending your Wednesday evenings learning a Hook from a Galley, go talk to them.

10:20 - Sue Harding

Born in London and raised in the Cotswold Hills, Sue Harding has always lived in song. Her love for poetry and storytelling blossomed while studying English at Manchester, where she discovered folk and roots music. She later honed her craft in the folk clubs of West Wales and Bath, learning traditional songs, playing guitar, and writing her own.Her second album Darkling returned to English landscapes and late Victorian poetry, offering a romantic, contemporary folk feel. It was praised as “hauntingly beautiful” (Folk & Tumble) and “one of the top ten albums of the year” (Deep River Records).For Radford Mill Farm’s Harvest Festival, Sue will be playing songs with a celebratory feel and a connection to the landscape, bringing together poetry, melody and storytelling.

11:40 - Peas in a pub

We’re delighted to welcome Peas in the Pub to Radford Mill’s Harvest Festival, bringing their wonderful blend of traditional blues, folk and original songs to the farm.Peas in the Pub are a traditional blues duo, led by Somerset musician Patrick O'Brien, with additional guests joining them along the way. Their music combines classic blues with original songs in the blues and folk traditions, creating a warm, relaxed and soulful sound that’s perfect for a festival setting. 🎶With a wealth of musical experience behind them, they’ve performed at farm festivals, folk events, acoustic clubs, private parties and venues across Somerset and the Bath & Frome area and they’ve even played right here at Radford Mill Farm in the past!

Jodie Austen is a British-Australian singer-songwriter and visual artist based in Somerset. Blending soulful folk-pop with heartfelt storytelling, she creates music inspired by resilience, nature, and the courage to embrace life’s journey.Through songs, art, and creativity, Jodie invites listeners to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and find beauty in every season.We think you'll love what you hear!

13:30 - The Band of Pilgrims

The Band of Pilgrims have been playing together for a few years now, and they've loved every minute of it.They perform a mix of old blues tracks, tender Gospel Blues, and their own original songs, playing more or less acoustic.As great musicians, they bring real subtlety to their playing — while also staying spontaneous, relying on a bit of randomness and enjoying moving with the spirit of the occasion!

14:30 - Paulton Ukulele Band

Paulton Ukulele Band (PUB) is a friendly, community-based band with members aged from 11 to 85, bringing together over 40 musicians who love making music and having fun.Playing songs from across the decades and a wide range of genres, PUB puts its own unique twist on well-known favourites.Alongside ukuleles, their sound includes percussion, melodium, fiddle, harmonica, flutes and trumpets.With more than 20 members regularly performing and singing at gigs, PUB create a lively, full sound - and they love getting their audiences involved too.Expect plenty of familiar songs, toe-tapping tunes and opportunities to sing along!

Come and meet Denise of Homecrafthouse - a Bristol‑based textile maker specialising in upcycled denim and handcrafted crochet pieces.Denise's work is shaped by a commitment to sustainability, creating practical, characterful items crafted slowly and thoughtfully from reclaimed fabrics and materials that would otherwise go to waste.At Radford Mill’s Harvest Festival I’ll also be offering short, friendly 1‑1 crochet demos and mini lessons. Visitors can book a quick session, learn a few stitches in the relaxed farm setting, and take home a small item they’ve helped to make — a simple, hands‑on reminder of the day.

Jo Sadler Willow

Jo Sadler is a Somerset-based willow sculptor, creating characterful animal sculptures from locally grown willow. Her work is inspired by the natural world, with each sculpture carefully handcrafted. Jo also creates bespoke commissions, working with customers to bring their ideas to life, and has a selection of her original sculptures available to purchase.Tori works alongside Jo as a basket maker and willow tutor, creating traditional and contemporary willow baskets and teaching a range of workshops. Together, this mother-daughter duo share their love of willow, natural materials and traditional craft through relaxed, practical workshops that are designed to be enjoyable and accessible to beginners.At the event, Jo will be bringing a selection of her handmade willow sculptures, which will be available to browse and purchase, as well as running short, beginner-friendly wreath-making workshops. Visitors will have the chance to get hands-on with willow, learn some simple weaving techniques and create their own willow wreath to take home.Whether you’re completely new to willow or simply curious to have a go, the workshops are a lovely opportunity to slow down, get creative and make something by hand.

Bark ink Collective

Bark Ink Collective is a small independent group of artists run by long-time creative collaborators and friends William Valentine and Adam Morgan.The collective is currently formed by Eleven local artists, illustrators and makers whose variety of work each focus on sustainable craft and all things hand-made!The stall places significance on all things found and foraged, with the majority of the work being produced using natural materials.

Leather, Weaving & FolkloreThis husband-and-wife team of leather-workers and weavers create an eclectic collection of unusual, handcrafted pieces from reclaimed and recycled materials.Their work includes handwoven corsets and waistcoats, leather-covered tankards, hand-bound books, top hats, pouches and much more!Inspired by woodland folklore and autumnal colours, their creations combine traditional craftsmanship with imaginative, one-of-a-kind designs. 🌿Sustainability is at the heart of their work. They rescue leather from sofas destined for landfill and use second-hand yarns and industrial waste wherever possible, giving discarded materials a new life.All their leather embroidery is stitched on a remarkable 107-year-old industrial Singer patcher, which visitors can see in action at their stall!One-to-One Table Loom Weaving Workshops with Belle45 minutes | £25 per personBelle invites participants to discover the art of weaving in a relaxed, hands-on session using a 4-shaft table loom. Participants will create their own small fabric sample while experimenting with plain weave and herringbone patterns.No previous experience is necessary, as Belle will guide each participant through every step of the process. A lovely opportunity to try a traditional craft and learn a new skill.

Manor Farm Pottery with Suzanne

Suzanne works from her farm studio surrounded by over 1,000 acres of countryside, where family life, farming, and community are deeply connected.Alongside her pottery work, Suzanne and her husband run The Dairy House (Connect Community Trust), a seven-bed hostel providing a safe home and support for individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.Come and meet Suzanne and discover her pottery at the Harvest Festival, while helping us raise funds for The Dairy House. You can support the charity by entering our raffle, making a donation, or signing up to volunteer with Connect Community Trust.

The Crafty Creature

The Crafty Creature makes colourful, whimsical accessories from craft wire and beads, charms, crystals and all sorts of other shiny things. At her stall, you’ll find earcuffs, pendants, rings, hair wraps and other jewellery, alongside some more unusual creations that don’t have names yet!Everything is made using second-hand materials, and all prices are flexible to what feels affordable to you.There will be plenty of finished pieces to browse and buy, but The Crafty Creature’s favourite thing is to create with others. 😻 If you find something you like but imagine it in different colours or with different details, you can customise it together. 🎨 And if there’s something you want that you can’t see anywhere on the stall, just ask! She’ll have all her tools and materials with her and would love to bring your ideas to life.Make Your Own!If you want to try creating something yourself, The Crafty Creature will also be offering one-to-one making sessions from her stall.Sessions start at £20 for around 30 minutes, including all materials.
